(UEFA) will organise a charity football match on 15 September at the Stožice Stadium in Ljubljana, featuring a number of football stars.
“Every action and every donation counts. I would like to invite you to this event to join me in my efforts to raise the necessary funds for the restoration. I hope to see you on the 15th. September in Ljubljana,” said Aleksander Čeferin, who will be accompanied by Gianluigi Buffon, Andrei Shevchenko, Paolo Maldini, Luis Figo, Zvonimir Boban, Javier Zanetti, Eric Abidal, Predrag Mijatović, Vladimir Šmicer, Nemanja Vidić, David James, Giorgos Karagounis, Mario Mandzukic, Mikael Silvestre, Fabio Capello and many others.
The match will be broadcast by the renowned international broadcaster beIN Sport, with coverage in 27 territories around the world. As Aleksander Čeferin further explained, all proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorship earnings and voluntary contributions will be donated to the charity Simply Close, which is managed by Radio 1. The Foundation will distribute the money to Slovenians in need.
