Abdullah Talal Hameed, the Swedish footballer we watched last season in the
Telemach First League
, is still missing. A few days ago, he disappeared to an unknown destination, and it seems more and more that the former football player of Tabor Sazan got burnt in a game with people with whom it was obviously not a good idea to cherry-pick. Hameed’s mysterious disappearance (only his car was found in Budapest ) has also been reported in Sweden, where it is believed that the footballer has been… kidnapped!
According to his father, Abdullah Hameed recently spoke to an unnamed club about a transfer, but did not sign the contract because the people he was in contact with did not seem serious. He has also received an offer from the Croatian HNK Gorizia, where he was introduced as a new member not long ago. But then the problems started.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry has already been informed about the disappearance of the footballer and has informed the Hungarian police that they are in contact with them.
“Abdullah was very worried last week. He sounded depressed and distracted, but for the first time he didn’t want to tell me everything. He just said that something could happen,” said the footballer’s father, Tali, describing what happened when his son refused to sign the contract: “Two people arrived at the hotel where he was staying at the time. One of them threatened to stab him with a knife. Someone working at the hotel called the police, who arrived a few minutes later and took the men away. My son was then very frightened.”
The threats continued, Tali added: “He then received a call from someone claiming to represent the club. He asked for €50,000. Abdullah replied that they would not get a euro.” And then he disappeared to an unknown destination…
