. The home coach , Joao Henriques, was obviously quite furious with his players after the game. The post-clearance meeting went on and on and on. It lasted so long that journalists actually waited in vain for the press conference!
After almost half an hour in the press conference room, the representatives of the Seventh Force unanimously decided to go home (in protest). Joao Henriques was not…
But the Portuguese stepped in front of the microphone of Sport TV, for which he said, among other things:”We had more possession, more shots, more dangerous attacks. But in the end, we lost because of mistakes. We gave too many chances to our rivals, but Celje is a team that doesn’t waste them. We had our chances too, but unfortunately we were not as effective. Having said that, we had a lot of tired players. It is therefore logical that mistakes happen.”
Olympia’s press release? It wasn’t.
The PR department kindly came to tell us that we would have to “wait a bit longer” because the players have a meeting in the dressing room.
This “wait a minute” lasted 25 minutes.
