After 14 long years, the Slovenian football public celebrates qualification for the big competition again!
Slovenia national team
will compete with the best teams in the Old Continent at the European Championships in Germany next summer.
Euro 2024
will be hosted by Berlin, Dortmund, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Gelsenkirchen, Düsseldorf, Cologne and Munich, where the opening game of the championship will also be played at the Allianz Arena, when the German national team will present itself to the home crowd.
The fact is that we can expect a top-class organisation, as all of these cities and their stadiums, with the exception of Düsseldorf, have already hosted the 2006 World Cup. Interestingly, the Allianz Arena, Signal Iduna Park and the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, which will also host the final, have a larger capacity than all the stadiums in the Telemach First League combined….
Slovenia has been gripped by a real football euphoria over the last month and perhaps even earlier, as evidenced by the fact that on Monday evening in
Stožice on Monday night
. This means, among other things, that many people will be planning a holiday in Germany next summer and will be there to support our boys from 14 June onwards. This, of course, raises a key question: how does a Slovenia fan get tickets for the matches at Euro 2024?
Tickets haven’t run out yet, but…
Tickets “hit the shelves” in October, when the UEFA had not yet sent them all down the drain. Initially, they were more often than not aimed at German and neutral fans, but due to the huge demand, which could have filled the stadiums several times over, a draw was then held to determine the winners of the tickets. The next package of tickets is not yet on sale or available to bid for, as 2 are going back on sale. on December 2, when the official draw for the Championships will take place at the Philharmonie on the Elbe in Hamburg.

Immediately after the draw, it will be clear when, where and with whom Matjaz Keke ‘s squad will compete at the Euros, and at the same time, applications for tickets will open again, this time for fans of the already qualified teams. Individual ticket prices for group stage matches range between €30 and €200 per ticket, depending on the category selected. Each fan can buy a maximum of four tickets for only one payday, with the understanding that if demand exceeds the stadium’s capacity, the draw for the ticket winners will be held again. In the latter case, those fans who agree to accept a ticket that is not in the categories they have chosen have a better chance of a successful purchase.
It is clear that Slovenia will be playing in at least two German cities, and possibly three, so fans will also be travelling next summer in a country that is one of Europe’s economic superpowers. And who knows, maybe Germany will host us in July… This is football, after all. A game where anything is possible.
