A survey by the Swiss football observatory CIES revealed: Slovenian national championship is the youngest in the world!

The Swiss Football Observatory CIES has come up with an interesting statistical analysis which reveals that Slovenia is indeed betting more and more on young footballers.
Telemach First League
was ranked number one in the study, which included 48 national championships from all over the world, as the championship with the youngest players on average.
The average age of players in the Telemach First League is 24.16 years, leaving the Slovenian championship behind the Dutch Eredivise ( 24.51), the Belarusian Premier League (24.55), the Austrian Bundesliga ( 24.98), the Finnish Veikkausliiga (25.06) and the Belgian Pro League (25.10). It’s also high, let’s say, 1. HNL, which, with an average age of 25.32, ranks 9th. place.
CIES: Group mean age 26,38 years
“V on average, 20,779 players were analysed 1. 26.38 years old in October 2023. The Slovenian First League is the youngest (average age 24.16 years), followed by ten other UEFA leagues. The non-European competition with the youngest players, the Venezuelan First League (25.46 years), is only 12th. place. For the second non-European league, you have to go up to 22. The youngest club is Energetik-BGU from Belarus (20.55), Aluminij shares the fourth place with RB Salzburg with an average of 22.29, Domžale are 15th (23.11), Bravo 16th (23.15), Mura 18th (23.33), Rogaska 19th (23.40).
